AF back at 8 weeks PP :(

Just a little whinge. After a bit of spotting (pink/red tinged ewcm) a few weeks ago that I thought could have been AF, and then wondering if I could be pregnant as I had all these weird symptoms, AF arrived for real today Guess now I know why I've been eating chocolate non stop and have been so tired and emotional. Started as brown spotting and has become heavier and redder over the day, starting to feel a bit crampy too, so I'm 99% sure this is it. I'm exactly 8 weeks post partum and DD is exclusively breastfed. Wahhh

grrrr - she sucks!! i swear she has been the most regular EVER for me since having DD - she was still exclusively BF when AF came back for me too!! stupid bodies - won't have her visit and create a cycle when TTC, but hey, when she's not needed (or welcome) she is knocking on the door nice and early! she may not return again for quite some time PZ

Oh that sucks big time hon I do wonder if all the stress you've been through lately made her show up sooner? Like AF is all you need on top of everything else though!

Yep, it happens, babe :/ DD2 was exclusively BF'd and never went more than 3 hours between feeds and yet stupid AF came back for me within a couple of months... I think it may have even been 6 or 8 weeks on the dot :/
Big hugs... get out your hot water bottle, stock up on choccies, I hope you feel better soon! And that having had little miss makes some positive changes to your cycle! x

I had pp lochia for about 8 wks after DS and then AF arrived after about 4 mnths. also regular and exclusively bf here too... sucks big time I did find it was a bit irregular though (and I was/am always regular) so it would be 6-8 weeks between AF's for the first year or so from memory.

I've been regular ever since having DD. I bled for 7 weeks after my c/s (I was sooo over it!) and then she arrived every 28 days. I wasn't bf-ing tho, only expressed for 7 weeks then my supply dried up.

Feeling your pain. I had lochia stop at 3wks PP with just brown tinged mucous for a week or two after and then AF at 7 or 8 weeks. Exclusively breastfed, 4hrly round the clock on demand but still exclusive. I think it must be to do with weight as well but who knows.

Yep, another one that exclusively breastfed but still got the witch back 4 weeks on the dot after stopping pp blood-flow. That whole no AF while breastfeeding thing definitely doesn't work for everyone!
