    What do you think of....

    Matilda Rose

What does it make you think of? Do you think it's pretty? What nicknames would a Matilda get? Do you think it's a name that would "grow" i.e. baby, toddler, child, teenager, adult? What are some alternates?

When I was younger I used to call all my dolls Matilda, which I have loved since reading the Roald Dahl book of the same name. And Rose has always been a favourite. Very aware that Heath Ledger and Michelle Williams named their daughter this as well.

    So opinions PLEASE

I love it! It's a very pretty sounding name, but I think would also grow well. Not sure of nicknames... Tilly perhaps?

I love Rose too (obviously), and the two names go well together .

Very pretty! It's one of those names that would suit every age of her life well, you know how some names don't suit babies but do suit women and vice versa? This is one that would suit any age, it can be cute, pretty and innocent as well as strong but still feminine when she gets older if that makes sense? I think she would get Tilly as a nickname which is also nice..

    Gorgeous name!

I think its a nice name

Becoming popular as people get back into the older style, traditional names, but how popular its becoming doesnt bother you then go for it.

My friend had a baby 5 mths ago and called her daughter Matilda Rose. There was talk of her getting called "Tilly" but so far shes only ever been called Matilda.

I like it. Nicknames I think would be Mattie most probably. For an adult, I am unsure if Matilda sounds too young but I am sort of like that with Emily.
