IVF after Vasectomy Reversal

DH and I are about to start our IVF journey. Just wondering if anyone had done IVF (or ICSI) after their DH has had a VR and come back with a low sperm count?

Hi CQuin, we are doing IVF after a vasectomy reversal. We got preg with my DD first month after DH had his reversal. When we started for No2 we found out he had deeloped scar tissue and had zero sperm count again. So not quite the same situation but simular. We are on our 2nd full stim cycle and so far have had 6 transfers and 3 BFP's but no happy endings.

Can I ask how long ago your DH had his reversal? And if you dont mind how much it cost (message me if you dont want to say here). Did you get a FS or Uroligist to do it? Im asking cause I am thinking if our current FET doesnt work out we are debating going to get his reversal redone.....

My DH had a vas r/v, was unsuccessful, and we are currently undergoing our 2nd cycle of IVF/ICSI. so far all tests have been BFN. DH has thought got heaps of good healthy sperm, just none that can get out. so when they do the PISA (where the get the sperm out of him with a needle) they got heaps and didn't have any trouble with them (fx its the same this time)

DH had his reversal in December. First SA (3months post op) there was 0 sperm. 2nd SA (6 weeks later) showed 1.36mil with poor motility/morphology.
I cant remember exactly the cost Maybe $5000? We had it done by a Urologist.
