What do YOU use to curl your hair?

Ok, so I have a GHD hair straightener, a babyliss curling tong, and a smaler VS curling tong.
I STILL can't seem to curl my hair properly!
I have spent many a night on utube trying to figure it all out.....
Now I see that there are conical curling irons with no tongs- me likey!
    Am I wasting my money??
I should add, that I also have all the products available to enhance the curl and still nothing!
    HELP....

I have alot of trouble getting the curls right using a GHD & a curling wand. I have naturally curly hair underneath but wavy/unruly on top and I can't master it. I too have looked at utube and I still can't get it! I saw some of those old fashioned hair rollers today in the supermarket and thought they might be the go??? What about putting some sort of curling product in your hair prior - have you tried that?

    Yeeeeeeeppppp.... Tried all the products.
The girls at my local hair house warehouse LOVE me!
Out of all the curlers I have, I get the least amount of success from my GHD!
I also have old fashioned curlers and those bendy stick things.

You could revisit the 80s and go get a perm

I have a 36mm large barrel curler and it is awsome! Gives me dita style curls. I use product for overall curls without any heat.

I have a GHD and i went out and bought a curling iron and nothing! My hair is retarded so instead i chopped it off and dyed it bright red! I'm considering getting a perm!

Stupid question and don't think that I think you're an idiot... I didn't know this myself for ages. Do you let them go cold before you touch them?

Yes! I've even tried pinning them in/up till they go cold- but that didn't work either!
I think the problem is I have no patience!

Is your hair dead straight or slightly wavy?

Then it should take fine. Weird. I wonder what you are doing LOL! I'm baffled. Have you tried hot rollers?

    Oh no!
    I've baffled rouge
I honestly think it's because I have no patience to stand there and do my whole head....
    Haven't tried hot rollers

    I eat my crusts too!
Funny thing is, I've never had "longish" hair before aside from extensions and when my hair is shorter, it gets a beautiful natural curl to it....

Maybe I should go the chop?
