My birthday is coming up and I found a necklace that I LOVE!
It is a very thick padlock style necklace.
Price is in the vicinity of 3k- a girl can dream right?
However I found a necklace that I like almost as much online- it's made out of jewelers brass.
The website says it's 18k gold, layered jewelry.
I've never heard off this before?
Has anyone heard or seen of anything like this?
I can't say for certain but most likely it will have a heavy plating. That is a very thin layer of gold just on the outside and brass in the middle. It will probably look great when you get it but it wont last like real gold, the plating will eventually wear off or flake off depending on the kind of plating.
HTH
I was going to say the same thing hun, if would be a brass filling with a thin layer of gold.
I had a gold plated ring passed down to me and the gold started to chip and flake off
Can you send them an enquiry and ask exactly what it is?
