Angry TTC 15+years Started our third IVF

    Hi there Ladies

This is my first time on this site and was inspired to join - If you dont mind???

We have been to the clinic and picked up drugs ready to start. I was waiting on AF and finally it arrived (with some help of primolut) on Friday lunchtime.

This morning I gave myself my first ever injection of puregon 150. (DH had been the one to give it before) But as he was away I plucked up the courage to do it...........

I was wondering if anyone else is starting icsi-ivf now??? I would love to chat with someone in same situation for advice and support. All my friends have tribes of kids (2+++++) and they dont understand the emotions, mood swings and the lovely side effects.

    Thanks

    DW 35yrs POCS
    DH 48yrs
    TTC 15years 5months
    IVF 2 cycles, 1 cancelled, 5eggs - ONLY 1 fertilised:'(

Let's hope third time's the charm!

I hope you get as much support as I have from fellow bellybellyers.

Are you planning on having ISCU or whatever it's called this cycle? (where they actually put a sperm into the egg?) We had that this cycle because my eggs were donor eggs (they usually used ISCU with donor eggs) and my donor is 37. They all fertilised. Even though in my case only one blastie made it from the six, I feel like I had a head start because they all had the opportunity.

I hope this cycle goes well for you and you enjoy having the hopeful moments that ivf brings!

I think I am repsonding right to your message........

    I hope you get this

We are doing ICSI which is where they get one egg and one sperm so hopefully there will be a higher success rate with my eggs. I am just hoping and praying my eggs are great ones

Did you have any luck with the one blastie??? Did they freeze or put straight into you???
FS said she would only put one egg back in. My age, better to have one healthy baby then two or three sick ones. Its frustrating as I do understand those reasons - BUT after 15 years.........We are just hoping for the best outcome.

I have a blood test and ultrasound on wednesday. To find out how my eggs are growing. Will keep you updated.

    Fianlly after 15 1/2 years

    Yay

Finally after 15 1/2 years I have a positive result
When the clinic called - shock as I didnt expect it would ever happen

So after telling DH he was finally going to become a 'Daddy'he asked could I please pee on a pregnacy stick so he could FINALLY after all these years see the blue lines.
How adorable. To see his face was beautiful. I wish everyone gets the chance to have a little bundle of joy. Now we just have to wait until we get to the SAFE part. Scarey and excited but still worried with what could happen.
