Question Should I be concerned - pins & needles?

I seem to be getting pins & needles in my arms regularly overnight while sleeping on either side when tucking my hands near my face while sleeping, or when I'm sleeping on my tummy. I don't seem to get them when on my back. I'm a bit of a rotisserie when sleeping - I like to roll over a fair bit from tummy to back and side to side - it can take me a bit to work out how I'm going to start sleeping for the night too.

Given that I'm about 5 weeks at the moment I'm not sure if I should be worrying about this yet or just waiting to see how it goes and mentioning it to my obs when I see here in about 2-3 weeks time. I don't remember getting pins & needles to this extent when pg with DS. I've been making sure I've been drinking plenty of water as well. The pins & needles only seems to have really taken hold since becoming pg this time round.

My legs are more prone to pins & needles at the moment too. So this is making me a little concerned but I'm not sure if I need to be really concerned just yet or not - If I should be mildly panicking and seeing someone about it, I'll try to get into my GP (has Obs/Gyn background) but if it can wait a couple of weeks I'll hold off until I see my obs. I suppose I could ring my obs rooms and ask one of the midwives there but I'm not sure I'd be making a mountain out of a molehill over this

I get pins and needles in my arms when I put them under my head when I sleep, and I get them in my legs if I have been crossing them or sitting with them tucked up underneath me. I have always thought that it was just a lack of blood supply (because you are crushing a vein/restricting blood flow). It is possible that you just have a heightened awareness of it now that you are have a lodger and you are more in tune with things your body does.
I'd probably just wait for the ob appointment, but if you are that concerned, a trip to the gp for peace of mind is no harm

I got this when I was pref with ds. It got worse and I ended up having numb hands constantly. Went to the doc for routine check up and I had carpel tunnel. Was told it would go away after I'd had ds, and it most definitely did.

I didn't get it with dd, but I was more fluidy with ds and I think that was a contributor.

If you're worried just ask your doc or ob next time. Hopefully it won't get worse.
