Sore Throat, Cold and RASH?

Hi all,

Heading to the doctors tonight but thought I would see if my BB friends could diagnose me?

I've had a firey sore throat since Friday and a cold since Saturday. Both seem to be getting worse as the week goes on. This morning I woke up and the left side of my face is covered in a rash! It's not itchy, just really red with tiny bumps and stung when I put makeup on before going to work.

Any ideas? I've never had a rash with a cold/flu before.

could be viral rash. It's more common in kids but adults can get it too.

Off to the docs, but mum suggested the same thing Kim. Slap face? Or something. It's now covering both of my cheeks.

She said it's harmless for normal people and doesn't need to be treated as it goes away on its own but can be dangerous to people with low immune systems. This is a concern as DP's Mum is terminal (cancer) and it could be dangerous if she catches it. While I haven't been to see her while I've been ill (standard for any of us who have contact with her), I have been with DP and he has been visiting her daily. He hasn't shown any symptoms of sore throat/cold yet but there's no way he could avoid catching it. I moved my appointment forward and will check with the doc.
