I am new to the site and would like to know if anyone with same situations. Please share stories
I am 31 and my DH is 33. We have been TTC for 3 years. Did IVF for 5 rounds (2Fresh 3Frozen).
We just had a cycle of a 2 FET which was 6 day blasts good quality. We finally got our long awaiting positive. Our beta was good 1st 140 then 2nd 1350.
20 min after i did my 2nd blood test for my 2nd beta i started bleeding bright red but stopped soon after no cramping and then everything was ok, then the next day at the same time i started bleeding again however this time the bleeding was a bit more. I contacted my clinic which seemed to think that maybe i had some sort of irritation from pregesterone pessaries which could have maybe ruptured vaginal wall and it's not uncommon for women to bleed in early pregnancy. The bleeding seem to have stopped but then started again with a bit of clotting. Spoke to the nurse and she thinks i might be loosing one of the two embryos that was implanted and my beta levels seems to be rising and to my devistation when i got home i saw a little what seems to be an embryo in the toilet. I had no pain what so ever. The bleeding stopped straight away. I'd like to know if anyone had the same happen to them and still ended up having a good healthy pregnancy with the other embryo. My scan is only in 2 weeks and i've read your beta levels could still be present after miscarriage so i know i will still show up positive.
I too have no experience with IVF but couldn't read without posting. Not IVF related, but several mothers I know have lost a twin and gone on to have a healthy baby with the other twin, so that does happen. I'm sorry you have to go through this worrying and waiting.
Firstly congratulations on your BFP, thats a very exciting day! What your nurse is telling you is correct, it is very common to bleed in early pregnancy, I think about 1/4 of all women do and it doesnt necessarily mean bad things. In very early pregnancy if it were a miscarriage would be unlikely to see the actual embie, often the blood is very 'clotty'. How far are you, hun?
Your Beta HCG levels wont rise 'normally' if you are having/ had a miscarriage ie wont double or triple every 24-48 hours (dont quote me on those exact figures). So a quantitive HCG may help to establish that answer.
There are definately girls on here who have lost one Angel and gone on to bring the other twin earthside.
Hang in there, IVF is a rough ride. Sending you loads of
Now it's just a waiting game. We had bloods done and my hcg count dropped quite a bit, but it was done in a different lab as to the one i have been using from the start so i had to do more bloods to send away to my first lab.
It can take up to a week before i know for sure. According to the nurse my levels can dip but then rise agian if there is another embryo left. It's hard being in this limbo situation but trying to be hopeful.
Yeah, that is what happened to me (not IVF but when I m/c) I used a different pathology and the results wern't considered reliable b/c that specialist used a different one. I'm sorry you have to wait & wait, but I hope that the news is good.
