Where to find toilet bowl cleaning tablets?

...and I don't mean the 'in cistern' ones!!

We just moved into our first (owned) home and the toilets are... to say the least... shocking!! We don't have money to rip them out and replace them just yet, so a good cleaning will have to do. When I lived in Germany and the UK I used to be able to get these toilet bowl cleaning tablets that you drop into the toilet BOWL and leave overnight. The next day the toilet bowl would be sparkling! It gets rid of all those stubborn brown (limescale?) marks. But for the life of me, I can NOT find them in any of the local shops! Does anyone know where I could buy them? I really don't want to wait for them to arrive from overseas.

Also, I've tried the denture ones, but they don't work as well. The stains are just too stubborn! Same goes for vinegar/bicarb or citric acid.

I use powdered bleach, works great, i got the tablets you are talking about once and loved them but haven't been able to find them again.

I'm originally from the uk as well, would love to know the answer to this. cos i haven't found anything that works as well.
