Hi n2l. We had 4 transfers before our bfp. Our fs told us that we should except to have success within 6 cycles (which seemed like so many at the time).
really, that many? I am starting to think not doing IVF now. I don't think I could do lots of cycles... Two of my GF were lucky enough to fall pg on their first cycles.... they must be freaky!
ignoring the fact that we lost bubs in there due to hormonal issues after transfer - we had BFP's on IUI transfer number 3, IVF transfer number 3 (five embryo's in total from one stim cycle), iui transfer number 4 and transfer number 5 (7th IUI in total, but first two were cancelled due to failure to respond during stim cycle).
In total I have had 2 x Stims (Fresh Transfers) and 4 x FET's.
It took me the following to get DS: 1 x Fresh ET, 1 x FET (lost one on the thaw here as well) and then 1 x Fresh ET (x2) to get our BFP (Singleton Pregnancy)
and the following to get #2: 3 x FET's (lost 2 on the thaw on 2nd ET) to get a BFP on our lucky last ET.
'ing you next transfer is the lucky one

We have done 2 icsi cycles = 2fresh tf and 1fet, 5 embryos in total.
I think the reasons this tf gave us a bfp is was day 2 tf (not day5) like our previous
We had 2 transfers, one fresh (BFN) and then 1 FET (BFP). The FET we defrosted one Embie that did not make it and so they defrosted the Embie which became my DD. So 2 transfers and 3 Embie for me.
Our FS always told us 1/5 chance every transfer.
For us personally it was 3 transfers for 2 children. First transfer was FET (5 frosties only one survived the thaw) due to cancelled cycle as a result of OHSS = BFN. Then fresh cycle 2 embryos transferred resulting in DD1. 1 frosty left from that cycle = DD2.
