    Which carrier to get

I'm looking for a carrier to get for bub #2. I used a hug-a-bub for DD but the stretch drove me nuts when using it around home. I'm tossing up between getting a woven wrap or a mei tei so opinions/experiences with either of these would be appreciated. I've ruled out a ring-sling because I think a 2-shoulder carrier is best with my neck/shoulder issues.

I have an Ergo which I'm planning on using for trips out and about but am worried it will be too hot in January. I've heard the manduca is cooler and wonder if it would be worth trading the ergo in for one.

Any advice/tips is much appreciated. TIA

If you want to try a mei tai I've got an aba one here somewhere - i haven't used it cause my belly was too big for me to tie it - straps ended up being too short. My sister passed it onto me when I was pg with DS.

I could hunt it down and bring to next meet up if you like

Thanks Liz. I'm not sure if I'll be able to make the meetup but I'm only in Modbury anyway. Don't go to any special effort to find it.

Actually, I did find a group on FB that does workshops where you can try all different types. Might be worth a look.

If it were me, I'd keep using the HAB, but I'm in love with all their carriers I hate my (DH's) Ergo, the straps are too fiddly...

That's all really, I have nothing constructive to add

I recommend a Close Carrier to all and sundry now, best thing that I ever used for a new baby

If you don't like the HAB you won't like the close carrier as they are the same fabric.
The stretch in my close carrier actually annoys me a little but it never did with my HAB so maybe it's even stretchier?! (I do love how easy it is to put on though!)
I saw a gorgeous print mei tai the other day. It was a cotton/linen type material. I want one!

I love my Baby Bjorn, got the synergy model with the air holes in. It's so easy to get on and off and bub in and out.

Thanks so much Liz. I've actually got a maya tie coming. I got it for a good price through a baby wearing group on FB

I've also got a gauze wrap coming. Wrapping is a bit daunting but I thought I'd give it a go. I bit the bullet and got it now so as to take advantage of the cloth nappy hunt discount.
