Sorry, this will be a TMI post. Don't say you weren't warned
Since earlier this afternoon I've had this sharp pain near my left hip bone... So sharp it's brought tears to my eyes a couple of times.
I've had De-Gas and peppermint tea... Both to no avail.
The pain comes and goes, so at least there's some reprieve from it but it's starting to freak me out.
I've sat on the toilet to try and move things along, but nothing's coming out... No gas or anything else. I had a bowel movement this morning, so it's probably not constipation.
Is there anything else I can do / take to help relieve it? Should I be worried that it's not gas pain?
Does it feel digestive in nature? Cos it could be round ligament pain...you are the right gestation for all the pelvic ligaments to suddenly start doing their stretchy thing and that can be quite painful for some people......
Nic, so sorry you're in pain - it is seriously uncomfortable. And oh boy, do I hear ya. On the weekend my stomach blew up so much I thought it was going to burst!
I agree with PP, moving around can help (walking around and then sitting down again, moving arms around - doc told me this once), or sit semi-reclined/find a position that will help the air escape. I'm still lying on my tummy at night and that works, but depends on how much your bump is getting in the way
Hope it eases for you soon, ouch.

it's probably a combo of gas and some serious ligament stretching. Also, sometimes, even this early on, bubs can scoot around so fast that there can be some bumping, Marta loved sitting near the hip bone area and caused me quite a bit of discomfort...
I've taken another De-Gas and it's eased slightly thank goodness.
Thank you all so much for your replies, I was starting to panic a bit... Over-react much?
I went on a 5km walk this afternoon and it did help but as soon as we got home it flared up again.
I've had some Benefiber as well to try and clean the pipes out.
I've had cramps / ligament pain ever since I found out I was pg and every time I've seen the baby on an ultrasound it's been dancing around like crazy... So I'm guessing it's a combination of everything.
I was thinking ligament pain, it bothered me terribly from about 13 weeks.
Hope it doesn't come back and it was just gas.
So pleased your pregnancy is ticking along nicely, still excited for you Hun,
Elocin if it is definitely a gas pain feeling you could try positioning yourself on the ground on all fours and sort of arch your back very gently and lean forward then back...sort of wriggle your body around very gently so you do not pull anything. This sometimes helps move things around internally.
I have wind pain a lot more this time around - it is really more painful than you think it should be!
I find twisting the most helpful, a good torso twist or even just the twist you do when you get in and out of a chair or the car. Twist away and see if that helps relieve it a bit!
I've been struggling a bit in that area myself. I've found that munching on some dried prunes helped! They're quite tasty! I have 3 every night now and I've been regular each morning.
For the last few days I've been taking a De-Gas tablet before work and it really seems to be helping. The gas is still there, but the pain is very minimal.
I'm also having some dried apricots in the afternoon which seems to be helping things along.
