Ok so I had ds4 almost two weeks ago. I had a couple of bowel movements over the first few days with no problem. I have suffered with hemorrhoids for a few years but nothing overly painful. The last couple of days before I need to poop I get intense almost contraction like pains followed by diarrhea. I am getting a little concerned about it and will be telling my doc but was just wondering if anyone else has had a similar problem?
Is it actual diarrhea or just soft poo?
I would be inclined to think it could be a bit of irritable bowel.
When i have it on occassion i get constipated for up to a week, then the most intense pain before needing to go to the toilet... generally resulting in increasingly softer poop and often ending in what seems like diarrhea.
I could be way off the mark though.
I google the symptoms and IBS came up. It is also exactly how you have described it soft and then watery. Why now though? I have never suffered like this before.
Pregnancy can trigger changes in the digestive symptom. Many women, for example, discover they are gluten intolerant after a pregnancy. I have no idea why, maybe something to do with the change in hormones/immune system/gut flora. Stress can also cause it. See if it changes based on what you're eating.
You might want to discuss with yor doctor. Look at taking some probiotics as well.
