I have almost the exact same list but multiply it by 5 because no other bastard in my house does anything to help!
Set a timer and see if you can get it all done within 20 mins. Like a race lol.
I've got a few things to do this weekend & I've lost the motivation to do them.
This is what I need to get through:
* clear the dining room table
* move two cabinets
* clean the kitchen
* deal with Mt Washmore (week's washing, approx 3 loads)
* deal with Mt Foldmore (stuff from holidays that has been washed but not put away)
* start on Mt Ironmore (work stuff)
* do the floors (every room)
* do the menu plan & shopping list for the week
* go grocery shopping (at the markets for the F&V and butcher for the meat)
I've got plans for tonight & tomorrow night.
Might just come back and update this list as I've done each thing, it doesn't look that bad now that I've detailed the list.

once you get started you'll be right!
Heather, I love that Smilie! lol.
Listen here Miss Sopdet.... I've got pretty much the same list! Guess I had better get dressed, take the kids to the supermarket and get some ham for their lunches before they turn feral and make a move.
Then, I might deal with Mt.Foldmore that has emerged from my dining room table, vac, bring in washing, pick things up... Let's see who get their's done first!
dining table cleared and moved (it was used as a study desk for 3 subjects plus dumping ground)
2 cabinets moved (including one to be used as one of my altars)
Mt Washmore - first load of washing on, 1st load of hand washing done, just about to do 2nd load of hand washing (gorgeous pants I bought in Bali but run like no tomorrow so have to be washed separately), 2 loads of washing still to do plus 1 more hand washing (these are sitting in the bath so the floors can be done)
floors in lounge/dining done
Mt Foldmore - folded and being transported
Now to finish putting Mt Foldmore on the bed and start on the kitchen (dishes, putting dishes away, stove top, benches, cleaning out fridge, floors). I'm doing a room at the time so Mt Foldmore will be piled nicely on the bed until I start that room.
Once the tiled areas are mopped I can sit down and do the list for shopping.
Well done! You go!All I got done was to get dressed and go to the supermarket (plus we just had lunch). On the way home from the supermarket, found a dog, taking himself for a walk, so caught him (he was a friendly staffie), and was talking to the shopkeepers on the way home about whose he is, get home, and a few kids said they knew where he lived, so I let them take him. So hopefully that makes up for doing very little. Maybe.
I just realised how little sense that made. Sorry!
Woo Hoo!
Ok how it stands now:
* clear the dining room table - DONE
* move two cabinets - DONE
* clean the kitchen - DONE
* deal with Mt Washmore (week's washing, approx 3 loads) - DONE
* deal with Mt Foldmore (stuff from holidays that has been washed but not put away) - DONE
* start on Mt Ironmore (work stuff)
* do the floors (every room)
* do the menu plan & shopping list for the week - DONE
* go grocery shopping (at the markets for the F&V and butcher for the meat)
So right now, I'm about to jump in the shower (giving the bathroom a quick clean/wipe down when I've finished), make my bed (pulled the covers down to air it when I got up), then head to the markets. Need to re-vac the loungeroom (have to get glitter out of one spot), finish the rest of the floors (vac the lot, mop the tiles). Once I'm back from the shops (and have put the food away), I'm going to start on the ironing, even if I only do the shirts/pants/skirts I need for the week I'll be happy (then I'll be able to work out what I'm wearing each day and put it on individual hangers in the work clothes side of the wardrobe).
I seriously need to get back into the habit of doing a little bit each day so I'm not dealing with this stuff (except maybe the washing/ironing) on a weekend!
I love lists when you get that sense of achievement by crossing things off. But man I hate the list seems too big to achieve. You've done well though Soapdet! My list hasn't been worked very hard this weekend. DH is on night shift and DD and I have been sick. I did however just scrub all the grout in the kitchen tiles with a small wire brush :S Hate how grime builds up in there!
Definately helps doing a bit each day, otherwise it becomes very overwhelming. I have done everything I wanted today, except for the ironing, which I will do whilst watching t.v. this evening.
you can do it - get the rest of your list knocked off.
Well done!
PS you forgot babysitting favour for your girlfriend who loves you dearly...
