    Pregnancy After Eptopic

I had an eptopic pregnancy a couple of months ago and was treated with one shot of methotrexate. Dr said it was unusualy because I already have 2 beautiful children. I have just had a positive HPT and I'm really excited but also really scared that it is going to be another eptopic as I'm pretty sure that this pregnancy is from the same side as the eptopic. Has anyone had an eptopic and had the drug treatment and gone on to have a successful pregnancy

My first pregnancy (10 pregnancies ago) was an ectopic in my right tube. I have no idea which side I ovulated from that resulted in my DDs, and neither were my miscarriages caused by the previous ectopic. I know that I ovulated from the right ovary this time and so far so good.

You could ask your GP for a referral for an early scan to put your mind at ease that bubs is bedding down right where he/she should be. Good luck.

Congrats on your pregnancy xoxoxo My first pregnancy was an ectopic, but my tube ruptured.... I went on to have two beautiful earthside babies!!! I had BT's done to make sure the numbers were good and an early scan to make sure bub is in the right spot!! I know it can be scary but enjoy it!!! You have a huge change of it NOT happening again xoxox Here if you need anything xxx

    Thank you.

Saw the GP today and he says my chances are very good not to have another eptopic, I have to have a scan done at 6 weeks to check. I told him that I have been having what feels like stretching pains on both sides but more so on my right which is worrying me, I know I am trying to read into every little niggle with this one, he says it's nothing to worry about. So now I'm just crossing my fingers for the next week and a bit.
