2 babies, 1 monitor (well kinda)...

So, I currently have the Angelcare sound and movement monitor which I've used for DS. When bubs comes along I'm planning on putting this in their room. But I also still want to have a monitor in DS's room. And, I don't want to have to keep track of 2 different parents handsets.

What I'm wondering is, if I was to buy another Angelcare monitor (sound only version) and put that in DS's room, could I then tune them into the same channel so that I can hear bubs and DS on the one handset?

Not sure if that makes sense. You know how sometimes you get interference on your monitor from another one nearby and if you change the channel you loose it. Well I'm wondering if I purposely tune them to the same channel if I will be able to pick up both of them? In theory I think it would work, but I would hate to fork out for another one only to find I get nothing but interference.

Yeah just subbing. We ended up buying a whole second one for bub 2 but it would be good if we could combine them!

I'd ring them. They'd know. Their number might be on the manual somewhere.

how close are the babies rooms? i wonder if the 2 transmitters would interfere with each other if they were too close?

Good point. The rooms are next to each other... but there are 2 built in robes as well as the wall to break the signals...

It doesn't work..... Well at least I can't get it to work! That said, I'm sort of glad because when one cries I struggle to figure out which child it is in the middle of the night when I'm half asleep.

I have asked about this in a shop and was basically told that its an impossible wish. The handsets cannot be programmed to pick up two wave lengths.
You can get interference using two different monitors too so I was advised to stick with the one brand and turn down the sensor so it was unlikely to interfere too much with the other .

If you think about it logically - why would companies make a product that is so user friendly when they can make more money by forcing customers to buy more products
