    Pom Poms

So i've been looking at pinterest and seeing all these cute fabric pom poms which are obviously the in thing for wedding etc at the moment BUT i was thinking of doing some old school pom poms with the girls.

    1. Can i use ribbon instead of wool?
    2. What was your favorite pom pom creation - i made an alien pom pom once

So any hints/tips would be great, am going to start getting crafty with them again now the sun is coming out and we can head outside on the deck with a drop sheet

You can do really good little pom poms with wool on a fork - saw on pinterest and tried the other day. Yes am sure you can use ribbon.

I made tissue paper pom poms for
    Dd2's bday on the weekend.

Woollen pompoms i just use the good ol trick of two circles and wrapping wool around it

I made tissue ones too for a 1st birthday a few weeks ago. I don't see why you couldn't use chiffon style fabric instead of paper. I think ribbons would look cute, just make sure you fabric glue/nail polish the ends or you'll end up with a frayed pompom.

I've always wanted to make live flower/reed pom poms. Obviously temporary but not sure it would work. It might need to be something with tendrils like jasmine.
