    slightly bulging front fontanelle

this morning i took dd 5months to gp as her fontanelle is slightly convex. He says its not normal but she is not showing any other signs of fluid on the brain. eg she is still alert and responsive. He has referred us to a pedatrician anyway. We have appointment at 2pm. Most likely be sent of for an ultrasound.

What i was wanting to hear is if anyone else has had their babies fontanelle slightly bulging and what happened.

    thanks

    Hugs to you.
My DS2 had closed fontanelles when he was checked at 2 weeks. I had to get him monitored (head circ etc) every week-2 weeks until he was about 1. It was stressful and worrying and I looked for any issues ALL THE TIME.
Thankfully we never had any issues - I just wanted to reply bc I know how stressful this stuff can be.
Come back after the paed appt and let us know what they say.
Dont worry too much in the interim - i was always told if there was an issue (fluid/pressure in head) you would certainly know about it.
