Cleaning fabric upholstery on car seats?

    Hi all,

DH's lunchbox leaked in his bag which was on the front passenger seat - my seat!

Last night he did his best to wash it down with warm sudsy water. Unfortunately the lunchbox contained tuna and the seat is still whiffy.

I am sensitive to smells at the best of times and especially so at the moment with morning sickness. I don't think I can go in the car until we sort this out!

    Any tips? Magical products?

I know when DH vomitted in the car after a late night of lots of booze, we had to get it professionally cleaned.... can you go to one of those shopping centre people and see if they can do it or hire a do it yourself cleaner from the supermarket (ie: rug dr)?

Extraction is the best way. You can get machines cheap that work wonders on lounges car seats and other upholstery I got mine a few months ago its a bissell little green and its fantastic. I only paid 199 for it. It's well worth it.
