My Bowen therapist has just retired and I'm having terrible headaches from having a bad back/neck. I don't really want chiro while pregnant but not sure what other options there are? We are in the country so don't exactly have a huge choice
Is there a reason for not wanting chiro while pregnant? I'm curious because I still see my chiro every 2 weeks and have done throughout my pregnancy - he's been awesome with being able to arrange alternative manipulations that don't put me on my back/belly and is still very effective. I get crippling headaches if I don't have my back/neck done regularly, plus he's also been paying attention to the alignment of my hips/spine in preparation for the birth.
Otherwise there'd be the option of osteopath or physio but I can't say they've done a lot for me personally.
I use Chiro and Physio. Chiro has been great for me, particularly with my neck and shoulder issues (I hold alot of tension in them) but last time I went my Chiro couldn't help (she said so herself), so I went to my physio for two visits & all is good. I have heard excellent feedback re: osteopaths but never used one myself. Can your Bowen Therapist recommend anyone else that uses the Bowen technique?
