    What to wear? "Neat casual"

Dh and I are going to an engagement party on Saturday.
The dress code is 'neat casual'.

What exactly does mean we should wear?

    TIA

    Something nice but no demin!

So slacks and a nice top or a skirt or dress, something smart without being OTT or under dressed.

If we were going I'd make my DH wear slacks or his good jeans and a shirt (long or short sleeved depending on the weather) or maybe a nice polo top but probably something with a collar.

For me black pants and a nice top, skirt and top, dress. Even nice jeans and a pretty top

Thats just me, we aren't normally very dressy people though if you're not sure give the jeans a miss and anything else should be acceptable.

Maybe your DH in a pair of pants & a shirt - yes jeans are ok but I'd probably team it with a proper shirt instead of a t-shirt.

For you, a nice dress or skirt & top.

I'd go a knee-length dress or pants and a nice top. DH basically his work gear - pants and a button up shirt

I would wear dark denim jeans, heels and a dressy top like a singlet with a bit of lace or something. The jeans will dull down the heels and lace (or whatever you choose) so you won't look overdone.

I'm with Tash. I usually wear a pair of dark jeans, heels and a cute top and some bling
DH usually wears a shirt, dark jeans also and his dress shoes.
