Thought I'd share the perfumes that I bought today for all those perfume lovers out there I have to admit that I have been wearing Paris since I was about 14! Holly molly that is like 20 years But for years I couldn't find anything that I liked better until I found 'Romance' and then just as my Paris was running out and I was going to buy Romance someone gave me more Paris as a gift! I know I could have still got other perfume but over the last 5 years I have barely ever worn any perfume. Anyway I just decided last week that I was going to buy some Romance but today I was in the pharmacy and saw a Sex In The City mini pack for only $14.95 (bargain) It has 7 mini bottles which as still a pretty good size and I like the scent of all of them plus they aren't too strong. So I got another pack as a gift for my SIL as she loves perfume.
I am a perfumeaholic I love Samsara, Midnight Poison, Hypnotic Poison, and a Alien .......... BUT my FAV in the whole widest world is Flowerbomb! Its amazing!
I love Issey Miyake it's my all time favourite.
I also love Dior Addict 2.
It's really hard to find a new scent..I am always on the look out, nothing every comes close to Issey Miyake.
i have been wearing romance by ralph lauren for a few years now. i used to always wear paul smith for women - i started wearing it when i lived in the uk. it's still my fave but couldn't find it duty free last time i went on holidays i don't feel properly dressed if i'm not wearing perfume! (although i did take a break when DS was a nb)
I cut my fragrance teeth early with a cologne given to me for a birthday, then with some Revlon crap that I thought was lovely!
The stakes were raised when my GF got me Elizabeth Taylor's White Diamonds. I LOVED it, till I got sick of the smell mingling with ciggie smoke, because I'd wear it out clubbing in the bad old days.
I moved on to Moschino for a little while.
I have Be Delicious, Cashmere, a lovely Estee Lauder dab that DP hates, another one DP bought me that I forget at this moment in time but is a Hugo Boss one, and my current fave...a $7.50 perfume oil from a local-ish craft shop called Erotic Amber that is divine, and seems to be doing the trick with DP
I did love a Body Shop one called Rose Musk for ages, then I worked for Body Shop and decided I didn't like their oils much, after all.
My all time favourite has got to be one that I don't think did anything for many people (because it wasn't available for all that long) - Versace Yellow Jeans. Many, many years later I realised what the main note in it was because I almost fell over in a nursery one day, realising I could ask the nursery owner what it was - boronia! The simple boronia scent makes me swoon!
After working in that kind of area for department stores for a while, I got over the perfume thing and have stuck to what I already have (the Cashmere was a gift when I worked for Estee Lauder, and it's quite sophisticated, I think) and the perfume oils that get right to the heart of what I'm feeling
I love perfume too and I also wore YSL Paris for many years. Then I moved onto Stella McCartney which i still wear often though I prefer this in cooler weather. I wore Bvlgari Femme for a couple of summers. Then I went through a break up at the end of one summer with a man who was less than ideal anyway so couldn't wear Bvlgari anymore. Then one day I blind purchased Gucci Envy as it was on sale at Priceline and only sort of liked it as it was not my usual scent but it intrigued me... In the meantime I had gotten back together with my first true love, we became engaged and because I wanted to wear Paris on my wedding day and keep it special I continued to somewhat reluctantly wear Envy in the lead up to my wedding, then on my honeymoon continued to wear it as the slight syrupy green fresh scent made sense in a humid tropical island climate... Needless to say with all the beautiful memories associated with Envy it's now my favourite summer fragrance! Does not work in winter though. I also now love Chloe edp- it's my new Paris.
