    I dont like my tattoo

I love the flowers but he's done a blue background and I really don't like it.

Those of you who are my fb friends can see it, if not feel free to add me.

Its two pink cherry blossoms which I love but he's done a blue background that I hate. Its like a big shapeless blue blob and I hate it.

I went in today and the guy said he'll go over the blue in black and grey once it heels.

Had anyone had a cover up before? Do you think the black and grey will go over thr blue ok?

Anyone? I'm so disappointed because its so visible (wrist).

I'll be honest and say that I did think that too - the blossoms are gorgeous, but the blue doesn't look like anything. I hope the cover up works

Why did he put a background at all, why not just the flowers? I'm just concerned that it was his idea, wouldn't want you to hafta pay to fix something you didn't ask for in the first place y'know

if hen goes over it in. Black/grey will it then be a black/grey blob that you hate?
Is there a shape you would like the blue turned into? Storm clouds or something else botanical? A night sky? A giant sperm
I think it is best to think long and hard about what you would like in the background and get a few pictures mocked up rather than just jump in for a quick cover.

He's going to go over the edges around the blossom in black and then shade out the grey so it has less hard edges if that makes sense?

I have to wait at last two weeks anyway for it to heal so no rushing. I think there will still be a little bit of blue but not as dark

I guess its hard to imagine how the tatt will look once the grey is done but will you end up with a big grey splotch that will look worse?

Wrists are sooo hard, I was too nervous getting the "extra bits" done when my wrist tatt was done pretty much for the very reason that you are goign through now.

I hope he doesn't charge you the extra

**** I hope not. Its definitely more the blue I dislike rather than to he background shape although I really don't like that either

    i really like it..
(if you have a look at my tatts you'll see i have alot of blue in mine, esp on my back)
i think if your not happy with it then maybe go over it? it ill def make the flowers stand out lots (which is a good thing!)
BUT like a pp posted.. will it just be then a grey/black blob that you arent happy with!

but just for the record i dont think it looks like any kind of "blob".. i think it looks amazing

    A giant sperm
i laughed out loud and shouted ''GIANT SPERM'' when i read that. wouldnt be so bad if dd1 wasnt sitting next to me, now repeating ''giant sperm??'' lol

    sorry, off topic....

he could shade some clouds or something over it?? i read some where that you went to a random little tattoo place, maybe go and ask in a different place what they might do, just to get some ideas??? the flowers are beautiful! i like the colour, but it is a bit shapeless, but thats easy to fix, and dont forget the colour will fade and change as your skin heals. not that i have any tats, a friend has one and he had a lot of red in it, and it was SO pink for weeks....REALLY BRIGHT PINK!!! but now its a lovely dark red!

I went into another place and they said they could go over it in b & g...I like the idea of like a charcoal sketch kinda thing? Not sure if that's possible but I have a couple of weeks to figure it out. Its going to be be a long couple of weeks...

I dont see why he couldnt have blended the outline of the flowers a bit better with the darker pink? Make it 'pop' without the background. Im really trying to figure out why the background was needed at all, esp as a wrist tattoo. Maybe on your back or something it would have looked better but I think its the wrong place for that kind of tattoo. The flowers would have been fine on their own. Dont hesitate to get a second opinion Rach if you can find a good trustworthy tattoo parlour! I hope they can fix it to make you happy with it

Yeah I can see what you mean. The colour of the blue is like the background is really the foreground. I think the idea about making it into leaves would actually be better than just changing the background to a different colour. My brother said maybe you can ask about getting the blue tattooed white?

Don't spose you could upload the pic to the bellybelly gallery so I can see it - don't want to add on fb and I am really curious now!
