    World4Kids before/after school care

Has anyone heard of them or used them?

DH went to the prep parent information night at DD's school last night and in the last week the school has decided to outsource their out of hours care. Like many working parents, before and after school is important as we will need to utilise both of these.

So has anyone heard of World4Kids? Or had experience with them? Their website is not very detailed and has pretty much no useful information... and they only sent home an enrollment form - no information about fees etc.

    TIA

    MG

I am in the same situation except ours is Camp Australia. Luckily I was able to talk to some parents who had used them this year and the reports were excellent.

Are they accredited? You can still get the child care benefit and rebate if they are. That also means they had to abide by the same regulations and rules as a daycare centre (I think).

    Good luck!

Thanks choc. Yes they are accredited. Their website states we can claim the Ccb and ccr but that's kind of it. I'm disappointed the school has done it but do appreciate they had to with the new regulations being introduced in 2012. I am concerned one school began using them and then w4k pulled out (I think after a term) because it wasn't financially viable for them! So I'm a little wary but it could also be because my baby is growing up!

I've heard good things about camp Australia, a friends school uses them.

i guess its gonna be a wait and see situation but it is a big school and heaps of kids use ASC and BSC so i cant see it going topsy
if i hear anymore goss about it , i will let you know!!!
Btw my bestie is in the same boat with her going back to work next year she is going to be relying on care as well
will keep you in the loop!!!

lol Det. I did say to DH we could change schools but we do really like this one. Hopefully this works out. I've sent W4K an email asking for prices etc - their website stinks. Does your friend have any other info? I know the school only made their decision this week. If I find out anything else, I'll let you know too

It kinda sucks that I have to rely on out of hours care. I wish I could provide DD with the kind of experience I had - where Mum was home before and after school and on holidays... but I can't.

Det, this is the reply I got the other day...

    Dear MG,

World4kids will be commencing before and after school care at the beginning
on the school year ready for Term 1.
Our fees will be $14 for before care and $17 for after care. Every family is
entitled to the government's 50% tax rebate as this is not means tested, it
is like $7 for before care and $8.50 for after care. World4kids charges per
the session and breakfast & afternoon tea is provided.

We will be commencing a holiday program in the April holidays which will run
    everyday from 7am to 6pm.

We look forward to meeting your family in the new year.

    Kind Regards,
