When Did You Start to Show?

Just curious when people started to show with baby no 1? ( i know you can 'pop' a bit earlier with each pregnancy.) I have a wedding dress to squeeze into at 15/16 weeks (if all goes to plan with this bub) Do you think this is likely without needing to upsize? I have no idea!!

Everyone is a bit different but I was a size 10-12 pre bub number 1 and by 15-16 was definitely showing a bit. Other people get away with wearing normal clothes until 20 weeks so it just really depends hun, how many weeks are you now? Can your dressmaker allow for a tummy and then readjust the week before??!!

I squeezed into my usual wedding dress size when I was 26 weeks. The dress maker however took all the boning out of it and gave me an extra inch in the lace up panel at the back. She did an amazing job actually (I had actually ordered the dress a few sizes bigger thinking it would be easier to take in than out, but it rocked up in my normal size and ended up being better to take out then in)

    8 weeks for me & I popped.
We were married earlier this year & we had been trying for a while so when I picked my dress I asked the dress maker/ shop for the best option in case i did fall & was showing.... Her idea was to make sure the dress was lace up at the back so you can loosen it around the tummy area but then tighter again where ever you feel you can.

It is very varied! I'm a size 8-10 usually and with both pregnancies I was still wearing all my normal clothes including my skinny jeans up to 20-22weeks and only really popped around 28-30weeks. We didn't announce till after the 20week scan and I wasn't looking pregnant at all then.

I got married when I was 10wks preg with DD and squeezed into my dress....my waist has started to thicken but luckily the dress was able to accommodate that. My biggest problem was my boobs that went from B cups to D cups in that short space of time....they were spilling out the top of my dress and I was so upset about it....DH wasn't but I was horrified......

    Goodluck!

Thanks for the replies ladies! I am sure it will work out ok. I am so excited about my BFP at the moment and not too concerned about the dress. It is being made to my size in another state at the moment and they just send it to you a few weeks before the wedding. I might email the lady and see if she has made the bodice part yet. It is pretty floaty, but fitted from about my belly button up. Really interesting to hear how much it varies with when everyone starts to show.

I'm a size 6 normally. I went up to a size 8 at around 14weeks. We told ppl at 11weeks and no one else but me could tell my little 'pudge' was a pregnant belly. I really popped at about 18/19weeks. With my second pregnancy people were guessing at 8weeks that I was pregnant. Now in my fourth pregnancy (not all full terms) my close friends who know I'm pregnant can notice my little belly at 6weeks. But people who don't know haven't asked yet.

I was bloated pretty early on, from memory around 8 - 10weeks and only managed to stay in my usual work pants until I was 14weeks I think (Although they may have been at high risk of splitting down the bottom!). The pregnant belly came around 16-18weeks.

    Good luck with everything

I was pudgey and bloated from about 12-13 weeks. I couldn't do my size 10 jeans up from 12 weeks - I needed a hairband to hold them up!!

I first 'popped' at about 17 weeks and again at 27-28 weeks.

I'm a bigger girl and I only popped at 32 weeks. Prior to that I just looked fat :-)

I'm at 11 weeks now and just bloated/fat so far. Haven't fit into my jeans or fitted skirts since about 8 weeks though. (Pregnancy number 1). I'm looking forward to having a proper bump but suspect it will be more than a month away still.

I've been taking a weekly snapshot of my belly from around week 16
Up to about week 20, it looked like I had just had a large lunch, and was still digesting it, and then from 21-22weeks it just exploded
