Normal! What you are describing is not constipation. Constipation is hard pebbly poos.
When you make those baby poo sculptures, post them on the internet for all to see.

Hey ladies
just need a few extra opinions on this one. My fully BF bub is 14wks and lately he is not pooing much (which I know is normal) but when he does go it is often quite firm. The best way I can describe it is the consistency of potters clay (ok thats gross now I'm imagining sculpting with it)
everything I read says that BF babies always have soft poos and cannot get constipated.
I guess I'm more worried about dehydration, his nappies (sposies) are possibly less wet, but its so hard to tell.
He's recently switched from 10-11 feeds/day to 7-8 feeds/day so I have been worried whether he's getting enough, but I'd rather not have to go back to 2hrly feeds! He is slowly getting the idea that there is a second side there if he wants it, but I'm also at that stage where my breasts feel softer than they used to so I think I'm a bit paranoid too.
thanks!!

It isn't constipation.
My mhn says that bubs only poos when it has left over product from the milk- this means your bubs is using up all your yummy breastmilk and therefore doesn't have much left over aka the delay between poos.
As for it's consistency- u just ruined the ghost scene with Patrick swayze and Demi Moore so thanks for that .....![]()
