Everything... lol properly because I live alone with 2 littlies! Ha!
I've noticed a list of things no one else seems to be capable of doing in my house!
- Replace the toilet roll (from the spares in the stash beside, which is also never refilled)
- Empty or stack the dishwasher
- Take out the rubbish and recycling
- Hang clothes
- Put things on the shopping list when they run out
- Refill the soap dispenser (with soap, from right under the sink, NOT water!!)
- Put the cap back on the toothpaste
In his defense, my DP does his fair share of housework and DD is good with her chores too, but it never fails to amaze me that the little things are apparently completely unnoticed by anyone but me! I know it's really not the biggest of problems, but sheesh!
What is it in your house?
Everything... lol properly because I live alone with 2 littlies! Ha!
cleaning the bench and the sink. or even realising that they get dirty, and need to be cleaned.
Clothes IN the basket not beside, dishes rinsed not just put on the bench or in the sink, whiskers should be washed down the sink not left for the next person who uses the sink (ewwww), I could go on all night lol
Clean the stovetop. I think I'm the only one that's done it.
Though, DH makes up for it by being the only one to clean the toilets![]()
Only doing half a job and i have to tidy up/finish it off...
Dh changes the toilet roll but always leaves the old roll on the floor or strategically placed on the door handle i came home one week and there were 5 cardboard rolls on the floor in the loo!
sent via my vortex manipulator
I honestly believe that DH has no understanding of how to put clothes away. He'll get them off the line, and then something magic happens and they appear in the cupboard. Ahh, such innocence.
Clean the toilet. DH lived here for 3 years before I got with him and moved in. He'd never cleaned the toilet.
I thought it was gross and put a shat load of demestos down it and came back an hour later and it was sparkly and white.
He still never cleans the toilet. Because we live rural the water is very harsh so the toilet turns brown very quickly. Needs to be cleaned twice a week.
All of the above... And
- weed the garden
- make the bed (ok in fairness to DH, maybe he does this twice a year)
- wash the towels
- straighten up the couch cushions
- put old food in the fridge into the bin (DH has even pulled out some left overs, asked me if I think it's ok to eat, had me say no, and then put the left overs back in the fridge)
- clean the fridge
- got rid of the cobwebs
- clean the microwave...
Ok, I think I better stop now - not sure this is too good for my relationship. But in fairness to DH he is pretty helpful around the house, cooks a lot and does lots of things (just can think of them now) and even makes the effort to say 'thankyou' to me for doing the mundane things like the washing and the dishwasher.
My DD walked past me cleaning the toilet and said "eww do you have to clean that"
Need I say more ...
-cleaning the stove top after DH cooks
-putting washing away or hanging it on the line (my DH is good at puting it in the machine then forgetting about it or putting it in the dryer even if its a nice sunny day)
-emptying the dishwasher
-vaccuming
-putting toys pack in the right place so they can be found again
-flushing the toilet![]()
DH is pretty good around the house as long as I tell him what to do, but there are definitely things he's incapable of...
-closing the wash basket lid
-cleaning the stove
-cleaning the fridge of mouldy leftovers
-shutting the curtains in the afternoon/evening
-hanging up the bathmat
Not sure if this counts, but DH is also incapable of opening a curtain/blind if it's too dark to see in the morning (He'll turn a light on, absolutely INFURIATES me! His definition of 'too dark' also doesn't match mine!)
putting clothes in the laundry and not leaving on the floor, back of chairs, bathroom etc. I don't care if they are on the floor in the laundry as that is how they end up come washing day anyway. As long as they are in there to begin with.
Changing the toilet roll
Doing the dishes
Doing the washing, someone will do his own washing once in a blue moon, but forget that other people wear clothes too.
Too many other things to mention LOL
Clean the toilet
Mop the floor
Clean the microwave
Clean the stovetop
Clean the bathrooms
Take out rubbish and recycling
Clean the fridge
Hence why I have hired a cleaner
No one else is capable of changing sheets or cooking any food either! DH is much better than he used to be though, at least now he'll make the bed or put on some washing.
To be fair...I'm incapable of changing a toilet roll or feeding any of the pets![]()
Oh yeah another house where there is the inability to get that toilet roll from the toilet to the rubbish bin!
Most other things are done![]()
