Ive just curled DD's hair for dance rehearsal this arvo, it's dropped really quickly, any times to keeping the curls curled for longer? Have hair sprayed them

Have you got a GHD straightener ir similar you can use?

My hair is quite thick and heavy, I find with hot rollers it drops quite quickly, but curling using a straightener is much more effective.

I rekon you cant go wrong with rags - trouble is, you just have to do them the night before
I used to love it when my mum put rags in my hair!!

I would go with rags too, and perhaps apply some curl hold product to her hair before you put in the rags. And put the rags in when her hair is damp. They should last a fair bit longer.

When my DD was a flower girl model at a bridal show I put styling mousse through her hair, then put her hair in rags - all the night before - then when I took the rags out I lightly sprayed the curls with hair spray, gathered the curl up and pinned it until just before she got dressed then added more hairspray when the pins were taken out. They lasted all day which was awesome.

(Sent from my phone, so I apologise if it makes no sense.)

I always used rags for curling for dancing. I used old stockings/panty hose as the stretchiness made it easier iykwim.

Lol Rags are strips of old sheet, or stockings wrapped around sections of hair and tied up (bit hard to explain!) - they make really tight ringlet curls - they are gorgeous!
