    *tmi* ewcm

So ever since having DD2, I have had a bit of a problem with EWCM. As in, there is sooo much of it, it is ridiculous.

    *Way TMI warning*

To the point where sometimes I can feel it dripping when I sit on the toilet....
It is really annoying. And I have never had this much before. It isn't just when ovulating, it is about 3 weeks of the month.

Since DD2's birth, I have had one occasion of watery spotting at about 4 months PP and a day of heavier spotting at around 6-7 months PP, but no other signs of periods returning at all.

The sheer volume of it though just seems to be increasing, so I wonder if it is normal? Is excessive CM a sign of any issues I should be concerned about?

I am due for a smear, going to book it for next month...

    Any wisdom?

I know it can be a symptom of an infection, but if you've had it that long with no other symptoms, I would guess that it's not an infection. Are you going to your GP before your smear, or can you book it for earlier so they can check it out at the same time?

I wasn't going to, not sure I can get an earlier appointment - need to have one when DH is here to take the girls. Too busy between now and Christmas.
But no, no other symptoms if anything untoward, at all.

Always a chance! But no, not a huge one, and none other of my regular pregnancy symptoms at all. Will grab a test just to be sure, but I highly doubt it.

Hopefully Dr Tal might pop in here, as she might have the answer for you. Apparently, you can get a 'cold' down there! Just like when your nose gets runny and congested, so can your lady bits gross, funny, and very interesting!!

I hate it when my vagina sneezes.

Yeah, people look at you funny when you are trying to use your handkerchief....

How interesting Ree! But would that kind of thing last for 10months?

i had a similar thing a month or so ago but it was after i had a repair of the episiotomy from when dd2 was born. the gyno said it might have been that the vagina was lubricating itself due to this trauma of it and trying to heal the area. also, i had the implanon taken out so she said it also could have been a hormonal thing relating to that. it was pretty gross though!

What Ree*Ree said. I reckon if it wasn't treated it could hang around for months. Check out the 6months+ ttc thread from... about 2 months ago, maybe? Hilarious and disgusting. Snot vs ewcm... hard to tell the difference!
