    A bit tmi...

But I know all you ladies won't mind

I gave birth 11 days ago, and the last few days I have been extremely itchy *down there*. I thought it may be heeling but I had no tearing/trauma except for a tiny graze on my perineum, and it's not itchy or sore there anyway (i cant even see it so i think its heeled...) I've had a peek and it doesn't look like thrush and I can't see anything out of the ordinary. It also stings a bit when I pee... As in around the vaginal opening, not as in a UTI.
So I guess I wanna know is has anyone else had this? I can't remember if I did with DS or not. Amazing what you forget in 22 months

It does sound a bit like thrush, even if you can't see anything...maybe ring your midwife to ask them about it?

I had it a week before my due date so it would make sense it didn't fully go even tho I was using the cream. Fingers crossed you don't get it! I find it really hard to get rid of once I have it. Obviously!

Sounds like thrush to me too hun but just throwing something else out there....

Do you think it could maybe be it just all healing & it's quite sensitive? After I had DD I took Ural for a week after I had her as every time I weed it stung! The Ural helped heaps!
Go get it checked out though hun, I hope it's easily treated This is the last thing you want after having a bub.

I found using a squeeezie bottle to pour water over my bits when i pee-d helped reduce the stingy feeling.

i think it was because i couldnt treat the internal infection, everytime i rubbed, scratched my girly bits too hard it would flair up, my poor bits were split and bleeding and just so uncomfortable.
Maybe it cleared a bit when you birthed her and the colony has regrouped and grown again.
hope you can get rid of it quickly xxx

I was the same after my last birth. Felt like I would go insane at one stage. My ob thought it was an irritation from the pads I had been wearing for so long due to postpartum bleeding. Hope the itching stops soon.
