Is memory foam up to sids standards? Or is it just as safe to use as spring mattresses??

They are on special at the moment, and with the countdown on, I was tossing up whether it is safe to use one?

I'm not exactly sure but I would think not considering the chemicals used to make memory foam.

I was thinking the same, but also wasnt sure whether mattresses had to meet the sids standards or not?? Surely the make up of the mattresses would make them unsafe according to sids, then?
