Return of AF whilst BF what was it like?

DD is 9months old and until now I have not had AF since her birth. DD is still BF alot including more then once overnight. This morning I have had the smallest amount of brownish CM and was wondering if this was the start of AF. Usually AF would arrive full on when she did so this is unusual. Its only just there when I wipe if at all. Did anyone else's AF start like this or can I expect the odd spot now and then over the next few months.

Mine start off lighter then a normal period but then turn very very heavy for the first few.
i get mine back at around 12 weeks when even when fully breast feeding, then they tend to go missing for a month or two (scaring the life out of me!) and then come back properly

Both times my period has returned around the 4 month mark even with full BF. It tends to be a bit stop start and all over the shop now. Definately not like before having my girls when I was a regular 28 day cycle with 3 days of flow. When it did first return they were always very weak and took a few days of spotting before they started.

Thanks both for your replies. I think its definately AF. It went away for hours but is now red.

I got my AF back about 8-9 months after my son was born while I was still breastfeeding him day and night. It just started like a normal AF. It was probably normal in flow, but to me felt heavy because before having my son I had very slight AF's.

I haven't had an AF since having my daughter though because this little surprise bub snuck in before my first AF arrived, lol. I must have ovulated when she was around 4-5 months old even though I was fully breastfeeding her and my son was still breastfeeding at least 3-4 times a day.
