    It's a crack!

In my heel that is! I have never had one before and my goodness does it hurt! I have no idea what to do to fix it? I am pretty diligent about keeping my feet nice and smooth and well-looked after, I hate festy feet! But out here (in outback NSW), I am finding it difficult to keep them nice, and hence, I have cracked heels, one which has gone through to the raw skin and hurts!
So what can I do? I scrub with a pumice, moisturise...what else should I do?

paw paw cream - lather it on and then put socks on.

or there is a cream that starts with E than you can buy at the supermarket. I can't remember what it is called though. It's very oily though so put socks on straight away...even if you're getting into bed. I have a mark on my sheets from it

    Eulactol heel balm.
Even better- now you can get a bandage like contraption to wear overnight- works a treat.

Thanks all, I have armed myself with some eulactol!

Does anyone have any other tips to prevent it? As I said I have never had this before and usually have nice soft feet! I think living out in a dry and very hot climate, wearing thongs alot has made them dry and yucky, even though I scrub them and moisturise.
