Sudden swelling and tenderness of labia minora

Hi there, It's been four weeks since I gave birth and it was a uncomplicated straightforward labour. I had a small tear on the perineum that required stitches. I was healing perfectly well but today I felt tender and I looked at myself in the mirror and my labia minora on the side where I tore is really swollen and sore. I know there can be swelling after childbirth but the sudden onset after four weeks has me concerned.

Are you breast feeding? Could AF be on the way? I ask because I often get swelling when I ovulate

You may have an infection. I'd go see a doctor.
