GHD hair straightener, where to buy????

    Hi ladies,

I'm looking to buy a GHD hair straightener, and I'm not too sure where to buy it from. In the shops they are around $240, but on line you can get one for under $100. The thing is, there is an official GHD Australia/NZ site, but the hair iron is still around the $200 mark. Are the other cheaper sites dogdy???? I think they are o/s, as one quoted a price in pounds somewhere, but still stated free deliver to Australia with 30 day money back guarantee and 2 year warranty on the product. Has anyone bought one online and if so, where did you get yours from and have you had any hassles?

The official site is the best place to buy one. I'm looking at getting a new one. Mine doesn't heat up as fast as it used to.

Keep in mind that they originally come from the UK, I could buy them for around 80 pound when I lived there.

My mum has a pair that she bought in Thailand for $45 and they are better than mine and I paid $240 3 years ago.

I live in the UK and they are currently about 110 (UK pounds) out here.
I would say the official website would be the best place - no way they'll sell you fakes lol

I've heard that the cheap ones are fakes, so I'd stay away from them. The official site is probably the best way to go.

Cheap ones are sometimes fakes, sometimes stolen. My mum has bought three, and got two good ones, one dodgy. So it's a bit hard to tell.

DF got mine online from ASOS which is based in the UK. Cost about half the price of getting one here and it's genuine. Getting it from the UK meant he also had to get me an adaptor but they don't cost much. It's amazing, I love it to bits!
