    Dr's Check-Up what to do?

I have to make an appt to get a pap
Smear and was thinking while I am there I might ask for a general check-up.

I am overweight so might get weighed and measured and see what the gp thinks.

Lately I have been tired (x-mas, holidays etc etc) but wouldn't mind discussing that.

I also feel hints of anxiety coming back & wouldn't mind discussing
    Libido.

I also get bruises on my legs & thighs ALOT, I'm covered on them with no real reason at all, some quiet big others are small ???

What else would you suggest, what do you get checked regularly?

    Would bloods cost me?
What do the bloods check for?

We have diabetes etc in the family so prob worth doing all that aswell.

Bloods should all be covered by Medicare. It's a good idea to have a full check up every now and then. If I remember right, low iron can cause tiredness and bruising.

Usually if you tell the GP you want a general check up they will do bloods. Based on what you've said I would make sure they're checking thyroid, vitamin D, cholesterol, iron, along with other things like liver function etc. These will probably all be standard, but make sure you ask for the thyroid and vitamin D because they can be big factors in lack or energy. Why don't you drop the girls off with me?
There is an excellent female bulk billing doctor at the plaza- hard to get into though.
PRMG recommended a female DR in Doreen?

You will generally have to ask for a longer appointment when you book, otherwise you may find that your dr will just ask you to come back another time anyway.

I'm still stuck on the fact that you're taking the girls and planning to get a pap smear...

Pretty high up there on my list of situations you never want to find yourself in
