Please Help I got lighter foils in my brown hair from a friend who used to be a hairdresser. They turned out horrible, yellow up the top and brassy down the bottom. We did put an ash blonde over it after I got the foils out and she stayed until she thought it had been toned down and then went home as it was getting late. She did mention that I could put a brown over it if I wasn't happy with the end result. So today I put a semi over them in my natural hair colour thinking that they would then turn out a lighter brown colour and be ok. I think they are just a yuck colour and that maybe I should have put some red back in with a rinse before I did the brown. Is it now too late to put in a red rinse and then perhaps a darker brown over the top of that? TIA
Awww, sweetie! So, what colour is your hair now? Has the colour taken differently to each bit? One of the girls in MG is a hairdresser and my neighbour is an ex hairdresser. I could ask if you don't get any advice here...
And just remember, it can't be as bad as when I dyed my hair with a 'wash out' (6-8 washes) dark blonde and ended up with orange hair for four years!!! And yes, it was orange! I have proof...
For 4 years??? Didn't you get it dyed over properly by a hairdresser? You poor chook
It looks way better then it did before I put the brown over it that's for sure but I think it's probably that green shade of brown you can get if you don't add red back rather than a normal shade of brown iykwim.
What's even more annoying is that it feels yuckier too due to the drying out! Oh well I have been blessed with 'pantene commercial hair' all my life so it may seem worse to me than it really is... I guess the last 2 years are just me having my share of bad hair days!
Yep, your bad hair day is my excellent hair day, lol! To me, your hair irl always looks exactly like your avi does, lol! See how it settles and if you're still not happy you can slink back to your hairdresser...
I was a teenager and Mum wouldn't let me dye it again (the things I had to do to be allowed to dye it in the first place!). She was the one that actually did it for me! One of the reasons I got it cut in the first place...
