Does pushing on baby making it move count as a movement?
Bubby has been very quiet last night and this morning. I know I am supposed to be counting movements but can't remember if it counts when you push on your belly/baby and it moves a bit away from where you push if that counts as a movement? Bubby isn't moving by himself so a little bit worried.
I would say if then bub continues to move afterwards its ok, eg, youve just woken bub up or soemthing, but if bub is only moving away, then maybe not.
its not about the numbers, its what is normal to you and your bub. was there a time of day bub was most active?? are they still active at that time of day?
other tricks to try is icy cold drink, sitting somewhere really dark, then you can shine a torch on your belly, or even sitting out in the sun exposing your belly. (as bub can distinguish light and dark.
in saying all that, if you are concerned at all, if you think the movement is less GO AND GET CHECKED OUT!!!! better to be safe than sorry and will put you at ease and less stress.
Towards the end of being pg with DD, I couldn't feel her much and I was worried. My ob sent me to the hospital every two days for 30 minutes of heart rate monitoring. Everything was perfect. It was worth doing to ease my mind. Good luck!
oh hun, its so scary, it is normal for bubbies to have quieter days, it freaks me out too!
do u have a doppler or anything.
FWIW i knew something was wrong with jack when he wouldnt respond to any poking or proding, and when i rolled he kind of flopped to one side, didnt actually move as such
hope he picks up for you soon xxx
I rung the middy at my Ob's office and she told me to come in as she knows I will keep stressing till then.
I have tried all the cold drinks etc to try and get him to move but he wont. He is a hyper baby - If this was DD I would think its normal as I could go days without feeling her!
Glad you're getting it checked out hon. My Dh made me go get it checked out with dd as he knew I was worried when she stopped moving. Glad I did as we ended up having to have her that day as she was failing due to lack of nutrients (my placenta was calcifying) I don't want to scare you but I thank the universe every day that DH made me go to the hospital.
Had a bloodtest and am now having the ctg monitoring really nice hearing buns heartrate the numbers keep going up and down between 123-158 which I assume is his heartrate and there us another number that goes between about 11-25 not sure what that is at least I feel a bit relieved now!
i'm glad you got checked out & it sounds like everything is going well
the m/w always told me to ignore those second readings - i think they said something to do with contractions (but dunno - think it was how they told me i was having BH contractions even though i couldn't feel a thing )
hope your hyper baby is back to their normal busy self tomorrow!
That second number is water pressure, you moving and bub moving can make it change but contractions make it change the most, its good to tell if those niggles and pains are uterine or if mum for some reason cant feel contracts eg epidural we know when the contractions occur.
Buy for decreased movement its not really important.
