I haven't lived there, but I absolutely would if what we want/need was in our price range. I really like the Strathfield area

Strathfield is a gorgeous area, I live in Lidcombe which is basically a neighboring suburb and I find the area delightful! I have an uncle whom has lived there for over 30 yrs and the st he lives in is so quiet and very clean! It's also very central to alot of locations so is very convenient. The schools are also some of the very best I have read up on in my recent search for my son. GL with your decision

oh thanks so much girls, it is so much better to hear from real people (not google lol) what a place is like. we like that it is close to the trainline for both parramatta and cbd.
burwood looks nice but not sure we could afford there.

There is quiet a few depending on whether you would like public or private? The public school system I've heard is excellent, I will get back to you with some names shortly just in the middle of some arts and crafts with the kids lol

    Hi,
We are looking at sending our kids to a private school there - Santa Sabina K-12. Strathfield is a nice suburb, the train station can get abit busy with lots of people. Other schools there are St. Pats a great Catholic high school for boys, Meriden an anglican school for girls and Trinity Grammar an anglican school for boys. Lots to choose from! I don't know much about the public schools but I think someone told me the one is Burwood is quite good. If anyone has heard anything about Santa Maria Del Monte that would be awesome as I'm currently trying to decide
