    Not losing weight ...

Wondering if I am the only one who can't lose a single kilo breastfeeding? It's like my body is storing and holding onto ALL the baby weight .... NOT COOL!

How did you cope .... Did you eventually lose it all? I just feel like giving up ...

Can sooooo relate to you on this one at the moment. I am following Weight Watchers and still going nowhere very slowly it seems. I am hoping that it is just a temporary set back and that if I just keep on going my body will suddenly get the idea and loose this blasted weight!

Same thing here, and it is my 4th child. I was living in hope that breastfeeding would help me shed some unwanted kilos. But like you my body tends to store onto them, even if I am diligently watching what I eat and then when I wean I find that I start to lose some weight. Sorry I can't be anymore help.

My body stores the weight until I stop breastfeeding. Nothing I do will make it go otherwise - except for starvation which obviously I am not going to do!

I thought it was just me! Miss P is my third child but the first I have been able to BF. Everyone told me the weight would just FALL off me... but, no. The weight seems harder to lose than ever. I didn't have much trouble losing my pg weight with DD1 or DS, but I am currently my heaviest ever non pg weight. You ladies have given me hope that perhaps I will lose some weight when I wean?

Thank heavens! It's really disheartening. I really want to lose weight cos I feel all choked up (over 100kg) and it just won't budge. I'm uncomfortable. When I took A for her 4 mth injections I spoke to the dr about it - her response was 'someone of your size should be walking at least 5km 7 days a week' ... Yeah, I'm lucky to have half hr to shower sometimes you fool! This was after telling her I exercise 1hr a day ...

Well, I'm glad (in a way) that I'm not the only one!

    Thanks

Yep, I'm thinking I am the same. I am also the heaviest I have EVER been not pg, and I am having HUGE difficulties losing weight, even though I keep on trying! I have been pg or bfing for almost 5yrs now and after each baby I have gained more weight without losing it before I have the next, so I have no idea if I will manage to lose it more easily when I stop bfing. Gosh I hope so!!

As for your doctor, tell her/him where to stick it! That's a terrible thing to say to someone with a young child...anyone at all really!

Thanks 3LM ... Its difficult sometimes, I know what you mean about being the heaviest EVER. Same here. I hate it. If I sit too long I get up and my poor feet struggle I have to 'warm them up' iTMS? Some mornings I wake and my spine is sore. It seems no matter what I eat, it won't shift. Bit of a bummer :/

Miss M I'm a similar weight to you and it does feel horrible. I'm desparate to lose it but I don't want to effect my milk supply. So I've decided I'll just try to improve my eating habits and when possible (which isn't very often at this stage) do a bit of excerise.

Your Dr sounds like my old GP, he had a go at me about my weight all the time. Didn't make me feel any better.

Oh and my feet are crap too, once I get going they improve.

    Thanks i feel better.

Monday - Friday I have meal replacements, with snacks in between - choosing healthier options, eating smaller portions, having a bottle of water each meal, and after my shake. Sat & Sun I have 'normal' meals. Plus I go to the gym 5 days a week

Watching the kg's go up is horrible. But if you put your mind to it, you can do it
