38 + 5 weeks and increased Braxton Hicks

Hello! My baby is due Feb 10 and I am experiencing all the usual late pregnancy issues - night sweats, constantly full feeling bladder, extreme pressure in my groin and pelvis, mild period-type stretching and cramping, shooting cramps in my inner thigh/groin etc. A week ago baby was about 2/5ths engaged (that is only 2/5ths of her head left out of the pelvis) and the bones around my lady bits are constantly aching. Another thing I have noticed is an increase in braxton hicks. The other day I had them all day and night. Not painful or intense and not regular in terms of timing but they did make me a little uncomfortable. Is this normal - more BH and more intense BH?

    Hi ladylove,

In my experience, I had regular braxton hicks all day and all night for about 3 days before I went into labour with DD. They suddenly stopped overnight and the next day I had DD. They were not painful just very uncomfortable. Baby wasn't engaged and BH had stopped at my 11am doctors appointment, DD was born at 4pm after a less than 2 hour labour.

    All the best!!!

    Hey hun..
I was having BH for about 3 days before I had Aubree, and like Kaydee they stopped on the thursday night, and then friday morning the real contractions started! Good luck hun, can't wait to see your BA and birth story

I always thought she might come a little early but now I've said that she will probably be stubborn and prove me wrong... If her personality is anything like her mama's.
