worried! just got results back

Hi ladies,
WEll i did my first cycle of IVF and just got my results back today from blood test (day 15) one day early and got told i am pregnant but my hormone level is very low (11)
also after the last couple of days it has felt like my period wants to come off and on.
Has anyone experienced this before? and come out with good results ??

I didn't do ivf but a couple days before af was due I felt like it was coming and then nothing and discovered I was pregnant, from what I hear its not the number but the rate it doubles at, good luck!

Hi indigo,

I'm not able to reassure you about hCG levels, as mine was higher than your when I had my first BT (not until day 18) after ICSI, but I can tell you for sure it felt a lot like my period was on it's way! Crampy, bloated, low, moody... but a bfp, and so far, all's well.

Don't forget that it's not so much the number that matters, as much as whether the number doubles in about 48 hours. or so. Are they getting you back for a repeat BT in 2 days? If not, ask them to arrange it, to help put your mind at rest.

Im not a happy ending story either....I had two low results one of 26 and the other of 8. Neither of these progressed to become pregnancies.....

That said I agree with Pholi, its the number doubling not the number itself (and that number has to start somewhere).

Thanks for your help it has calmed my down a little bit, they said to come back monday for another BT but i dont think i can wait that long im going to call tomorrow and see if i can get in friday

In all my pregnancies (including my daughters ICSI/PGD pregnancy) my first pregnancy symptom is always a feeling in my uterus similar to just before my period comes. It's a full/heavy kind of feeling. I usually get that feeling that day of or day before my period, but when I am pregnant I get it about 4 days before my period is due.

Thank you I was in alot of pain in the middle of the night but still no bleeding so my fingers are crossed I took everyone's advice and went to the doctors today for another BT I couldn't wait any longer so I will let use know hopefully they have doubled fingers crossed

No good result from low numbers here, but it's all about how many DPO and how it's doubling. Good Luck and keep us posted

Hi Hun my first round of I've icsi my hcg was 8 and unfortunately didn't progess, it ended as a chemical pregnancy. I've got everything crossed for you love x
