I figured there must be some tupperware reps on here. So for Christmas this year (yes, I know very in advance, but I'm a bit OCD about being organised!) I am going to be buying most people tupperware. This means probably about 6-10 purchases of around $30-50 each. I'll probably be buying the some pantry storage stuff and also some lunch box type things - more from the "classic" range rather than the more gimmicky, novel stuff (if you know what i mean, no offense intended)
I had a few questions about the most economical way to buy it:
Does Tupperware have sales?
Is there a "good" time of year to buy?
Should I host a party? (though I don't really like inviting friends along to these things)
What about buying online from ebay or even from overseas ebay?
I'm not a Tupperware "lady" but man oh man do I love my Tupperware! I have just bought heaps.
Does Tupperware have sales?
Yes. There's Birthday Week and Record Breaker week. They have the best deals of any time of year, I think.
Is there a "good" time of year to buy?
There's always specials on, but those two weeks mentioned before are the best.
Should I host a party? (though I don't really like inviting friends along to these things)
YES! I did, late last year and it is so so so so incredibly worth it.
What about buying online from ebay or even from overseas ebay? You could... but I reckon you're better off hosting a party and getting the deals that you get there. I'll come
Hi Bloom,
I used to be a Tupperware lady & yes as stated above they do have sales on during the year. In fact there tends to be a monthly booklet that you can get.
As for getting stuff off eBay I tend to stay away from it as you often are getting second hand stuff. If you look at the website it should have a phone number you can ring that will put you in touch with your local tupperware lady.
You don't have to have a party to buy tupperware, but you often get more for your money (or get something extra) if you do host a party.
I used to do tupperware many moons ago.
I used to be very addicted. Dh is convinced tupperware breeds in the dark. Tee hee.
I suggest since you are thinking about buying a great deal of it for gifts that you concider purchasing one of the "modular mates pantry sets" That way you can seperate them for individual gifts. They used to be a bit cheeper than buying the pantry modular mates as seperates.
As already states there are times when there are sales. I don't remember when they are though sorry.
For cheeper products you should concider a party.
the monthly specials are on their website as well - you can view or download the brochures. i had a party a little while ago when i wanted to start my modular mates set & it was definitely worth it. i only invited a few people & ones i knew were interested & that still gave me a few extras.
i'd skip buying from ebay for the reasons outlined above.
