    What's it clogged with?

Does bicarb and vinegar do anything for clogged drains? Draino? Sorry I'm no help, am I?!

Our shower drain became very slow draining, almost blocking, and bicarbonate and vinegar worked very well. Took a lot of it though.

    You will need:
    Gloves
    Plastic bag without holes
    Wire coathanger or similar
    Strong stomach

    Directions
Remove grate. Put on gloves. Get plastic bag ready. Steady stomach. Straighten hanger out for maximum length (with hooked end). Dig down into drain. Remove grey, stinky, mouldy hair ball. Don't look too closely at it. Do not inhale. Dump hair in bag. Repeat until drain is clear. Seal bag and throw over most-hated neighbour's fence.

Eew, just reading that makes my tummy turn in circles.

I would just pour a bottle of Draino down it.

I'm not sure what it's clogged with, my best guess would be hair????

I got some caustic soda (draino type stuff), but it doesn't seem to have helped. I can't get the grate off the shower to clean it out by hand, otherwise that wouldn't be an issue for me.

    Thanks for your help

I don't have a plunger, I tried the draino stuff again (cos I read the instructions wrong ) and if it doesn't work, I'll get a plunger tomorrow.
