Hi all
If we a blessed with a girl next time round we are considering the names
Rose or Charlotte.
My all time favourite names are Lucy & Ruby but theses are both taken by close friends
I am leaning towards Rose and I LOVE the nickname Rosie.
Problem is that my DS1 is Rohan and we call him Rohey or Ro alot. DH is deadset its just too similar.
So perhaps Charlotte will be it, but I am afraid its too long and she will be Charlie anyway (which I am not sure I like)
Nah, I don't think so. I do like Rohan and Rosie together. I am thinking that if Rose comes along then you will call Rohan 'Ro' and Rose, 'Rosie'. I really like it
I think Rohan and Rose/ie sound good together. I do think Rohey (nn) and Rosie (nn) are too similar though and the children would get confused as to who you are calling all the time. I dont think Charlotte is too long, i think its a gorgeous name and if you dont want her name shortened to Charli, then it wont be. I would more call her Lottie, before Charli
thanks everyone!!
Rohan is growing up so less likely to be Rohey and more Ro. (he is almost 8)
There is no theme, my DS2 is Lucas.
We have a thirteen letter surname, so the shorter name the better. Even though we have liked Charlotte forever.
My BIL is Rowan and he still gets Rohey at almost 50! Our DD1 is nearly 2.5 and I still call her 'Bubby'. It's just habit now. So as much as I love Rose, I think you'd end up with Rohey and Rosie.
I really like Rose. But I do think it is a bit too similar to Rohan for my liking. I didn't consider the name Hayley for DD because is it too similar to DS's name (Hayden). Rose & Rohan are in the same category for me. Lovely name though.
