VERY strange question.... do you lo's wear undies under them??
DD1 is dead set she is not wearing undies under them (they are not the lycra one) but i think she should be.

My DD (4) tried not to the first time she put one on, I think the similarity to bathers was the link. I had a chat about how these were clothes not swimmers and we talked it out. After being adamant she wouldn't be wearing undies with her leotard, she was more than happy to in the end.

Yes all my girls wear knickers under their leotards.. I tend to by skin colour ones, and my girls know they are just for dancing..

mine have "theatrical Knickers" that they wear underneath their that are skin coloured, but otherwise wear normal undies.

Mine did last year and when she was told she couldn't for the concert she kicked up a stink.

I used to wear a g-string when I danced as a young girl (danced from 6 - 13)

Most girls at dancing tend to wear knickers under them but personally I think it looks terrible! The knickers are all bumpy, get caught up in the leotard, can be seen under the leotard and generally spoil the whole look if that makes sense?

When DD did dancing, provided her leotard was not too tight we went knickerless - I washed it after each class and it wasn't like she was "Flashing" anything.

My DD is too small for this BUT i when she does do dancing i will make her wear them. I was also going to suggest maybe skin color ones but it seems these lovely ladies already thought of it

I don't have girls dancing yet but this thread surprised me! I never wore them when I was little and doing ballet.

I always wore knickers for dancing and gymnastics when I was little. I'll be making my girls do the same

The girls wear knickers except at the concert but then they have tights and a costume on.

I never did when I did dance for 8 years, but i have my DD wear them when she does it, but she does wear tights and a skirt as well so its all hidden either way

I danced for 7 or 8 years & my mum wanted me to wear knickers, but I hated it. I knew you could see them & the other girls didn't have to, so I didn't see why i should!
As I got older, mum couldn't tell me what to do & mine was always washed when I wore it.
I didn't really think of it with DD. Again, I always washed it, so didn't really think of it

I did but it was the 80's and we also wore tights under our leotards so undies showing was never a problem.

I did gymnastics way back when and I never wore knickers under mine.

I personally did except for concerts. But that was cos the teacher asked us not too.
