16 months later the pregnancy and birth of Cameron:)

i decided that i should tell my BB friends the story of my little Cameron who is 16 months old

LMP Jan 1st 2010 couldnt missed it white pants and flying on plane from Darwin to Melb.... mmm not nice
Grandma passed away but before she did she told me 'i had beautiful mummy boobs' which i thought was strange as ds1 11 and ds2 was 19 months and i hadnt bf him since he was a baby .... so i just hugged her told i love her and i would miss her and she said 'ill love you no matter where i am precious' she died at 98 yrs a few days later and we buried her Feb 7 th and i found i was pregnant feb 10th!!

Feb 10th from my LMP i was 6 weeksgive or take....due date from LMP Oct 8th i was over the moon but my dh (ex now) wasnt at all thrilled...
So being told that he shouldve had the snip after all was not what i was expecting to hear at 11pm at night when i did the HPT! (it wasnt unplanned to this response was from left feild)

Preg: Confirmed by blood test and scanning dates showed i was due two weeks later Oct 26th..

Im a RN and i found that working in emergency wasnt mixing with early pregnant hormones so i left work very early on again to the discust of husband darling .... oh he told me that it was ok and told everyone else i was being slack !! (only pregnacy i didnt work at all in )

The entire pregnancy was full of stress plus emotional and psycholoigical abuse (looking back on it ) very very sad and lonely pregnancy. xDH didnt acknowledge the pregnancy at all ... only did he notice was when i went into early labour at 33 weeks and so much so i felt my hips move and baby drop and i was in labour and groaned out loud and said 'you need to get me to the hospital now' Yes i was in early labour but cervix was still high and closed so they gave me an endone and i ent home and contractions stopped for a week ... from 35 weeks i was in and out of labour and in and out of hospital ... so damn annoying and they refused to induce me at 38+6 weeks and said you have to wait til term date of Oct 26 th .... 40 weeks scan dates 42 LMP....

3 days up to birth Oct 21 i was 39 wks 2 days and i woke up losing more plug and again cx that were lasting up to 60 sec but were still irradic .... Dh decided to stay home and now help with ds under 2yrs plus my mum was here too but she was more work than help

So Thursday Oct 21st 39 wks and 2days i got up and said 'can u please drive me to sandy hopsital where ds 2 was born and ill aske them to bloody inuce me .... Dh husband said ' they wont you know and it will be a waiting game again... i said 'if you dont take me i will ring a taxi... we were booked at Frankston 10 mins

Anyway in the car up to Sandringham my cx died down in the car yet again BUT i really wanted a drink so we were like 2 minuted fro the hopsital when we stopped for a water ... i hopped out of the car when Whammo cx one after the other and finally they stayed 3:10 and i couldnt talk all i could do was hold on the anything sway and breath . Dh said ' sandringham without drugs or Frankston with drugs ? i said Frankston which was a 20 min drive .... so the car trip worked.

Got to frankston and dh dropped me off and i proceeded to walk to main entrance (last pregnancy dh didnt let me walk anywhere alone) but i made it stop starting cx still 3:10 so it was a slow walk ... i even took the stairs up the the mid floor as i wanted this labour to stay .... and it did until 10 pm and then everything died off. I was in the birthing suite and on gas but i was only 2 cm dilated and again they wouldnt agree to any inteerventions at all.... (it turned out that they couldnt intervene as they didnt have the staff or beds )

So i was walking those floors for 48 hours sucking on the gas with dh absent ! Last pregnancy he was with me the whole time this pregnancy nope....i has sporadic labour

The nursing and medical team finally agreed to induce me the sunday 24th and by doing so they had to book more midwifes dr etc etc ... i said yay finally.

Sat 23rd they wanted me to go home as the needed the bed and come back Sunday 7am for the induction i said umm hello im in and out of labour and needing gas (im allergic to codiene so couldnt take much for pain control) umm im not going anywhere... i said ill stay in the broom cupboard if i need to but im not budging .... funny how a bed outsite the brithing suites became available a few hours later ....

At about 2pm after dh stuck his head in to say hello and left again i was on and off the gas i decided to try to take a nap as i was buggered.... i woke to my waters popping and it was all warm... first time i naturally broke my waters. I thought omg my dh isnt here and i had no idea where he was so i had to ring him... he was on the freeway so i told his to turn around and get back in if he would like to be at the birth....
he was back within 15-20 mins and then they took me back into the main huge birthing suite where the fun and games began:

I was in so much agony the last few day as after an u/s showed my baby wasnt even engaged so all the labour i was having was the baby trying to manouver into the pelvis.... the midwife said in the birthing suite when the baby gets into position those pains will change and wont be as painful and i wont need the gas as much ... she was right

We had two emergency buttons scares ... Camerons heart rate dropped down to 60 the 50 when the midwife stepped out of the room and my dh told me it was coming up after the cx i said push the assist button now which he did the dr came in and pushed the emergency button . They had to put a heart rate thingi on Cams head and that was excruitiating .... one midwife had to push on my tummy so the doctor could find the baby amd i sucked on the gas and concentrated so hard it was amazing.
It was then decided i needed a emergency c section as HR dropped again but then bub behaved again and the c section was scratched....

i then got back into a very quick and extablish labour and then i felt the baby really move and the midwife was correct i wasnt inhaling the gas but using it to bite on the mouth piece .... i then felt the 'huge ball rolling sensation' then i yelled im about to push as my bub is coming (all thru she didnt once do a VE ) and i was on my side .... and a few more huge pushes out came Cameron Charles 39 wks a 5 days or 41 5 day LMP oldest baby i have ever had . He was perfect and covered with vernex again ...

There is actually heaps more to it and i could tweek it more and i will one day but with a challenging demanding 3.5 yr old and 16 month old it is very difficult at times ...
