For a friend : how to convince 34wk bub to bend its knees

Friend of mine has a breech bub with legs fully extended - she can't get anything in spinning babies to work.

Any hints to help bub (at 34 weeks) to bend knees and turn - the OB is telling her there's 95% chance of C/S.

I would try chiropractic or acupuncture. With a footling breech my thoughts would be that the pelvis might be an issue so sorting that out could let the baby move. Other options are things like ice at the baby's feet (to encourage the feet to move away from the cold sensation) or music played at the same sport (to encourage the baby to move towards to sound).

My IM used rebozo techniques to help my baby to move.

Bit dodgy of the ob to be giving those odds when your mate is only at 34 weeks. There is heaps of time for baby to move without you doing anything.

Thanks Ladies. I got it wrong, she's 36 weeks.

    This is what she's replied:

but are these general breeches or frank breech ???

    Kazbah : will find out

footling breech is 1 leg up 1 leg tucked. and the half handstands will work if normal breech but not if legs straight
btw - do appreciate this but just that I think there is really no option......

my response was based on my instinct of how a footling breech baby would respond, not a frank breech (although tbh it would probably have some effect for a frank breech too)

I wasn't told what type, but their feet were down low so I assumed their legs were straight.

    Sorry!
