Question 12 weeks - Low placenta, what do I do?

    Hello everyone

I had my 12 week scan today and we got to see our perfect little baby, hands, feet, his/her little nose.... It was just magic. Everything is measuring spot on however I was told that I have a low placenta (which would explain the pelvic pain I experienced from week 6-10. As I dobt have my drs appointment until Tuesday I took it upon myself to do a bit a research. I found out that a low placenta is common during early pregnancy and that it usually corrects itself. I also found out that I am in a high risk group for placenta previa because this is an ivf baby and I've previously had a c/s.
So...fingers crossed it moves up as the placenta grows but in the meantime for those ladies who have had an early diagnosed low placenta, or anyone who knows, are there any precautions I should take? No excersise etc?

    hi reneenay!

    congratulations on your pg!

i had a complete previa and mine was diagnosed at 20 weeks. its very rare for one to be diagnosed so early. i would keep doing what you are doing tho until you ob says otherwise. there is no need to take precautions at this stage of your pregnancy

good luck and let us know how you go
